After the signifactions of the 9 planets...its time for the story of the zodiac...

What is a zodiac?

Well there are long astronomical and astrological explanations to this term but cutting the long story shorter and simplifying things, lets look at it this way...The Earth revolves around the Sun and completes its revolution in 365 days or one year...As Earth orbits the Sun, the Sun appears to move around with the background of the stars as seen from the Earth's orbit creating an imaginary circle on the celestial sphere which also happens to be the projection of the Earth's orbit around the Sun...This imaginary circle is called the "Ecliptic"...Usually the Moon and the planets are not positioned exactly on the ecliptic because they're not located exactly in the same orbit plane as Earth, but lie within several degrees of it & form a sort of another imaginary circle encompassing the entire sky which we call the "Zodiac".The ecliptic runs exactly along the middle of the Zodiac...
The Zodiac is also called the circle of life with 12 divisions of 30 degrees each representing people , animals and numbers in symbolism.Each of these 12 signs consist of 3 constellations or "nakshatras" further consisting of 4 padas or divisions of two nakshatras and one pada of the third nakshatra... 
Each sign of the Zodiac has its own story expressed through mostly symbolism, ruling planet and the energy of the number it corresponds to...Each sign has three constellations or which make its express its underlying energy through three different means...Its important to understand the energies of these signs to relate them to the houses they sit in your horoscope...

The story of the nine planets...

Hello people...I know as usual my post again begins with an apology for being in hibernation for long...but this time i am determined to blurt out as consistently as possible...
Its been a long time I've been hoarding on knowledge till the point of information overload and now is the time for downloading it..This one is for the nine planets that make or break our histories, geographies and economics...
The snapshot of the nine planets positioned in their respective houses at the time of our birth is what defines us as a person and the transiting planets as positioned define our present and future...
To know about any other vocabulary in astrology...its an absolute necessity to know what the nine planets signify...
I have titled this post as the story of nine planets but i'll prefer throwing in keywords for a planet rather than penning down sermons....this will aid you all to draw your own interpretations from the poking words...

Saturn Returns!!!

                Happy B'day Saturn!!!!..Saturn is celebrating his 1st birthday in my 4th house since last 1.5 years...and Saturn has made sure his b'day becomes memorable for me...

                 Before proceeding with the post ... i am no astrologer...infact until late i was amongst the cool Gen-X who judged(read it misjudged) astrology from the half baked theories presented by the modern day astrologers (with due respect to those who study it as a science) with a charade which makes you feel they have assisted the almighty in sculpting your fate...

                  My inclination towards astrology is attributed to propping up of questions...questions that no one could answer... i had tried my hand at studying astrology some years back but shunned the practice cause it seemed too complicated then to decipher on my own...but thanks to the Jupiter transiting my 12th house, i have now found my comfort with astrology

                   After diving deeper into the study inferences drawn were... as against to being called as the science of destiny it is science of human mind,as probable as patterns of the mind;.... absolute... in what the planets will do to you but probable... cause of how you react to it...

                    Thanks to the B'day Boy Saturn, i am writing my first post on my independent study of astrology on this well known in the west and not so well known in India astrological phenomenon called the Saturn returns...
                    To begin with lets see what Saturn rules astrologically - Importantly Saturn rules time... along with discipline, convention, tradition, routine, structure, power and responsibility...You break the laws of the jungle and you shall pay ...says the hard taskmaster Saturn...People dread Saturn because during Saturn periods they experience least control over what is happening to them and more so their make is put to test...In India dreaded Saturn periods are mostly

•   sade-sati when Saturn crosses over your 12th house, 1st house and 2nd house (2.5 years in each house making it a total of 7.5 years)
• ardha-ashtam shani when Saturn crosses the 4th house
• pancham shani when Saturn crosses the 5th house and
• ashtam shani when Saturn crosses the 8th house 

what isnt that significantly considered is the return of Saturn...
                  Saturn returns is when transiting Saturn meets and greets your natal Saturn (the house in your horoscope where you have Saturn placed during your birth)...It coincides with the transformation age identified by the psychologists...

If you are

• nearing your 30s (28-30)...Saturn completes its journey of 12 houses in approx 29 years...
• realising that change is inevitable
• questioning your life path, accomplishments and achievements 
• revisiting deep rooted memories, fears, philosophies and rationales
• on major transformational crossroads in life...                                                                                check for your Saturn returns...there are many websites which will help calculate when does your Saturn return...                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Saturn gives you a run for your peace of mind by freezing time and making you think the Saturn way...rigid !!!...you hold on tighter and things pull away stronger...the more you try exercising control on situations, the more they perplex you...Saturn actually freezes time!!!..Along with the house where transiting Saturn meets natal Saturn, he affects the 4th, 7th and 10th house that it aspects...thus the things related to all these 4 houses which otherwise would have just been over ...just do not get over during the Saturn returns!!!...transformation just happens...you like it or not....and if it is coupled with other planetary crisis like Jupiter transiting your 12th house or Saturn in conjunction with nodes (Rahu or Ketu) it comes with a sign in bold...EXAM TIME!!!                                                                                                                                                                       Wait a minute...please dont dread Saturn returns...it does not harm...it teaches and transforms your core...i had been frantically searching any positives related to this return so as to convince myself that there has to be more of positive related to this transit other than simply "this too shall end"...yes...there is a lot to be happy about and my major objective of writing this post is to solace friends going through this transit...Guys i am at the end of this transit and i bet this has given me a lot...like..
• PATIENCE....it has taught me to be patient in the real sense...patience is not waiting for something to happen without complaining...patience is faith...patience is waiting for something even when you are not sure about its happening...
• LET GO....everybody wants the comfort of certainty....uncertainty is definitely the worst place to be in...but if you cant control things ..let go..Saturn return makes you go back to your roots and examine what mental patterns work for you and what dont...same is the case of work and relationship...
• ACCEPTANCE... accept the transformations coming your way...the harder you hold on to your older patterns the difficult things would be...understand that the things which you are forced to change will no longer serve you in your future...the acceptance like resistance to change is more painful than the change itself...but all for the best...
• BELIEF...belief in the higher power...belief -that which does not kill you makes you stronger....                                                                                                                                                                                 Saturn returns is all about time,structure, responsibility, power and accomplishments...the b'day boy gifts you a brand new perspective, inner strength and deeper understanding...he teaches you to live in the moment...he teaches you to draw happiness out of small mundane things, he teaches you about the futility of macroplans...he lays a foundation for the next 29 years before he wishes himself b'day again and signs off saying...the best is just round the corner!!! :)
